We just finished celebrating the Jewish New Year on Monday, and today I celebrated my 27th birthday. It is certainly a season for reflection, stock taking, and intention setting. But perhaps this year, more than ever before. At the end of the month, Saturn Returns to the same place it was when I was born (Libra, which is also my sun sign). It’ll stay in Libra for about two years. My horoscope (by astrologer Yasmin Boland) says this:
This is the last month you have for two and a bit years before the planet Saturn enters your sign. Once he gets there on October 31, life is going to be quite … different. The best thing you can do for yourself now is work out what you actually want to achieve in your life, and think about how you’re going to get there. Because Saturn is all about goals and hard work. The hard work he’s lining up for you will in turn set you up for the next 30 years!
As Saturn changes signs for the first time since September 2007, get ready for lots of lessons over the next two years re: everything! Saturn is in your sign for the first time since 1983. Think you’re already a hard worker? Don’t make Saturn laugh! You’re about to slave like never before – and to safeguard your future as a result of your efforts. Pace yourself – it’s a two year cycle.
Yikes. What will the next year have in store for me, I wonder.

I would take Yasmin's advice, that of forward thinking and strategy. But can you really decide all that you wanna do with your life right now? I mean, it is always the season for reflection I believe, to be done often for life's simplest things even. And I'm all for organized thoughts and deliberate steps that lead to opportunities/resources needed to fulfill life goals. But when's a good time to think about incorporating not so time consuming, positive change into your everyday life? SO- Live anew in this Jew New and your blessed new 27th year of life today! Think about smaller things within your control that you can attempt to do or make better, accomplish/complete. Figure out the best and simplest ways to get it done and then do it! No fuss, low stress. I think what you've been setting yourself up for thus far generally, may just kick into overdrive and give you a run for the money- it'll make you work. That may mean some one great thing or many great things are really gonna happen for you. Welcome it- You're built to work hard to do great things! A 30- year set up? Girl… sounds great… Think small, think positive and when the time is right, grind! Happy Belated Birthday and Jewish New Year! -Sheena Wins
